CSM offers weekly private, one-on-one music lessons in 30, 45, and 60 minute increments. CSM also offers remote, distance-lesson options for students (including non-local students) through video conferencing services like Zoom. For more information about policies and tuition, please click here.
In addition to private one-on-one music lessons, CSM has offered year-long and seasonal group music classes throughout the year. Group classes are advertised throughout the year as openings become available and each class is geared towards varying abilities and instruments. These include monthly "Musicale" performances (mini "recitals") on site at CSM, a Strings Studio Class with Dr. Carla Denise, Beginners Piano and Guitar Classes with CSM founder, Mr. Wayne Estes, Music Composition and Theory Classes with Mr. Wayne, and an Early Childhood Music Education Program called Music Together (details below). Additional group "class" offerings have included "Christmas Music" gatherings, Open Mic Events, Rock Band and Worship Camps.
An ensemble is a group of musicians of the same or different instruments collaborating on a long term basis. Some examples of ensembles at CSM are string trios and quartets, flute trios, and guitar ensemble. Ensemble placement is based on teacher recommendation only and is only open to CSM students.
Our ensembles perform everywhere including Farmers Markets, First Fridays in Downtown Leesburg, private parties and events, Oatlands Christmas, Spring Arbor Assisted Living Community, coffee houses, wineries and even the Waterford and Bluemont Fairs. If you are interested in joining or forming an ensemble, or you would like CSM to perform at your upcoming event please contact our office manger Matt. Ensemble participation is free.

Music Together Program
For hundreds of thousands of families worldwide, Music Together is children and their grownups joyfully sharing songs, rhymes, movement, and instrument play, both in music class and in their daily lives. A pioneer in early childhood music and movement education, Music Together offers classes for children from birth through kindergarten, in which parents and caregivers are encouraged to actively participate.
All children are sounders and movers, and their natural aptitude for music blossoms in a sufficiently rich music environment. In fact, when given a supportive music environment, children learn to sing and dance as naturally as they learn to walk and talk.
How is this possible? Children learn differently than adults. They learn instinctively and constantly. They teach themselves through imitation and play, through being immersed in their environment, and through every interaction with adults and older children. The family-like setting of Music Together's mixed-age classes enables siblings to attend together, creating an ideal learning environment where infants, toddlers, and preschoolers can freely participate at their own levels.
